The most wonderful antique locket, made c1900
Made from solid 800-grade silver
The front has an engine-turned surface with a translucent enamel over the top (this technique is called “guilloche”)
Within the enamel are gold foil stars and dots
The back of the locket is plain silver
The locket is hinged at the base and opens from the top
It measures 2.5cm across by 3.5cm long
Inside, the space within the frame is 2cm across
The locket is in very good antique condition
There are no chips, cracks or fractures to the enamel
The locket opens easily and closes securely
The back of the locket shows wear and dents
