It’s modelled with a bamboo handle and decorated with a crane in flight
Japanese design was a significant part of the Aesthetic Movement – a major influence on art and design during the second half of the 19th century.
The charm is made from solid 18ct yellow gold
The crane is hand carved from silver, with pale yellow-gold legs
The charm was originally mounted as a bar brooch and has been converted to a charm by my jeweller
The fan measures 2.5cm x 1.7cm
As a charm, it hangs to a length of 3cm
